Wow, this sounds pretty familiar! (It's great to be quoted, although I don't think the computerized gentleman looks a thing like me, but I have met plenty of women with sharp teeth like the one in this video.) I'm glad I finally took a look at this, it's pretty funny.
By the way, what do you think of Huggins' observation that Kelly dropped a funny line like a load of coal? Huggins apparently liked Kelly as a person even more than Garner but detested his acting. I wish Warners had cut Huggins some slack and increased his pay but had him concentrate solely on Maverick, given Garner a steep raise and a contractual clause giving him the ability to choose his own movie roles (and turn down those with Warners with no penalty) and make pictures with other studios while decreasing his workload on Maverick, concentrating him mainly on 2-brother episodes to cut his series workload even more, and hired Roger Moore to pick up much of his slack. Instead, Huggins wound up working himself nearly to death, almost literally dying, then quit to return to school(!), Garner had to fight so hard for a nickel that he essentially quit the studio, and the show post-Huggins was the merest shadow of its former glory, lasting only two and a half more seasons. Of course, Jack Warner would've had to have turned into an entirely different person for any of this to have occurred.
WISHING YOU AND YOURS A MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR, BARTISTA! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE JOY YOU BRING WITH YOUR SITE!
