Jack Kelly: Look What I Found! :)
It's Jack Kelly in an episode of Marcus Welby, MD! It was posted on YouTube by a Randolph Mantooth fan--they probably had no idea it would thrill JK fans, too! Enjoy! :-)

Thanks for another peek at handsome Jack!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good week, Bartista.

Robert Young had one of the longest major careers of any American actor, going all the way back to a supporting role in "Tugboat Annie" with Marie Dressler and Wallace Beery! Like Rick Jason, he wound up killing himself although I'm not sure whether he was suffering from a terminal disease or what.
ReplyDeleteI remember this 1972 episode of "Marcus Welby"; I was a big fan of Randolph Mantooth because of his "Emergency!" TV show. I think I also remember Jack's appearance on it. Thanks for refreshing my memory of it! :D
ReplyDeleteTo Michael: Robert Young did not commit suicide. He died from respiratory failure. However, he did suffer from depression and alcoholism due to Hollywood's casting practices, and he later went public about those inner struggles. I think Robert Young was a brave man to do so, as not many in his shoes would have done the same.
