Finally, Jack Kelly's Bart Maverick gets to stand tall next to James Garner's Bret! And, he packs a cigar instead of a pistol.

Great photo that I've never seen before. Garner's bending down just enough to lose that extra couple of inches and make them appear the same height. Kelly tended to photograph smaller looking. The camera doesn't see what the eye does and this can have weird results. Aaron Eckhart, for example, looks immense on film but normal to smallish in person, while it's the other way around with John Tuturro, who looks the size of Burt Lancaster in person but seems rather small on the screen.
